The acclaimed Manhattan String Quartet opens the season with a compelling program that bridges tradition and contemporary expression. The program features Shostakovich’s Quartet No. 10 in A-Flat Major, Op. 118, alongside Eric Ostling’s String Quartet No. 2, “Eternity,” both presented for the first time by the Society. The concert concludes with Beethoven’s final completed quartet, the luminous and introspective Quartet in F Major, Op. 135.

Renowned for redefining the possibilities of their instrument, the Sinta Quartet brings a vibrant and engaging program dedicated entirely to saxophone quartet repertoire. Showcasing the ensemble’s precision, versatility, and contemporary flair, the program explores a wide range of styles and textures that highlight the expressive depth and dynamic range of the modern saxophone.

The internationally celebrated Claremont Trio presents a richly expressive program that spans the lyrical and the modern. The concert opens with Kaija Saariaho’s atmospheric Light and Matter, followed by Rebecca Clarke’s deeply evocative Piano Trio. The program culminates in Schubert’s expansive and radiant Trio No. 1 in B-flat Major, D. 898, a cornerstone of the chamber music repertoire.

Blending innovation with tradition, CreArtBox offers a thoughtfully curated program that highlights both beloved masterworks and first-time presentations for the Society. The concert includes Lili Boulanger’s Nocturne for violin and piano, Mozart’s elegant Flute Quartet in D Major, K. 285, and Ravel’s enchanting Ma Mère l’Oye in a unique arrangement for flute, string trio, and piano. The program continues with Copland’s Duo for Flute and Piano and concludes with Dvořák’s Piano Quintet No. 2, Op. 81, presented in a distinctive instrumentation featuring violin and flute.

The season concludes with the world-renowned Takács Quartet, celebrated for their refined artistry and expressive depth. Their program features Mozart’s Quartet in F Major, K. 590, Gabriela Lena Frank’s vivid and imaginative Quijotadas, presented for the first time by the Society, and Brahms’ powerful and dramatic String Quartet in C Minor, Op. 51, No. 1—bringing the season to a bold and resonant close.
